Here are the most common FAQ's that we get. Feel free to contact us if you have further question's

Do you have demo/rental skis available?

We offer demo equipment for guests during their stay. The first day of demo rental is complimentary, with each additional day priced at $50. Should you decide to purchase the equipment, your rental fees will be applied toward the final purchase. Through our partnership with Performance Ski & Surf, you can arrange specific gear directly with them or let us coordinate everything so it’s ready upon arrival.

If I'm sending my child for a week, how much money would they need?

At Sunset Lakes, we focus on creating a well-rounded, memorable experience both on and off the water. Throughout the week, students may participate in optional outings such as movies, shopping trips, go-karting, mini golf, bowling, and paintball.

We also schedule trips to the grocery store so students can pick up snacks, drinks, and any personal items they may want during their stay.

We suggest sending your child with approximately $200–$300 for the week, depending on how much they plan to participate in activities and personal shopping. All outings are optional, and spending will vary based on individual preferences.

If your child is staying over a weekend, we typically plan a group outing to one of Central Florida’s world-renowned theme parks — a favorite among our students!

Please Note:
Meals are not provided on Saturdays or Sundays. We will take the students out to lunch and dinner

If your child needs additional funds during their stay, we’re happy to assist. Any additional expenses can be added to your final bill for convenience.

Is there a pick up/drop off fee from the airport?

Airport pickup can be arranged. Transfers between 8am-10pm are $130. Arrivals or departures outside of these hours are $150. We have two trusted drivers. They will also be able to help with anyone needing extra assistance at the airport.

Please note: A taxi or rideshare (e.g., Uber XL/XXL) typically ranges from $120 and up one way, and may not accommodate oversized bags such as 3-event ski equipment.

If transportation is required for an Unaccompanied Minor, the fee is an additional $50 each way. In compliance with airline policies, our staff must meet the minor at the gate upon arrival and remain at the gate until departure boarding is complete.

We are happy to assist in making your arrival and departure as smooth as possible. Please contact us in advance to coordinate your travel plans.

Is your ski school only for advanced skiers?

You’d be surprised how often we’re asked this — and the answer is a resounding NO!

At Sunset Lakes, we welcome skiers of all ages and experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned competitors. There’s something incredibly rewarding about working with beginners — whether it’s helping someone get up on skis for the very first time, or guiding them through their first successful pass on the slalom course.

We take pride in creating a supportive, encouraging environment where new skiers can build confidence, learn proper technique, and most importantly — have fun. Watching that smile light up when it all clicks is one of the best parts of what we do.

Introducing people to the joy of waterskiing is part of our mission. Our hope is that after just one visit, you’ll be just as hooked as we are — and keep coming back for more time on the water.
