First and formost on behalf of the Travers Family we would like to wish you all the best for the upcoming ski season. Were looking foraward to seeing you all.
Well as many of you know we have just come back from the Under 21 World Championships in Santiago, Chile. What an event that was. Great weather, great site and incredible skiing by all countries. It was an exciting tournament for Team USA, ups and downs, good sets and bad. However they all showed tremendous sportsmanship both on and off the water. We would like to congradulate the team for bringing home the silver!! We are especially proud of Jon, he skied like a champ and ended up with 2nd place. Cale Burdick trained with jon 2 weeks prior to the event and all they talked about was making sure they both took the 1,2 spots and sure enough they did. Another big congrats for Zack Worden. Although he did not ski his potential in slalom or tricks he sure made up for it in jump. He lept an amazing 200 ft to seal the deal and be named U21 jump champ! Storm Selsor also was here and he skied like a , well "Storm" He had PB's in slalom (3@38off) and in tricks (9000pts). He added valuable scores to the team. Caroline Hensley and Adam Pickos were also on the team and Adam had a great trick event and took home the gold. I do belive that this is a first that one country has swept the gold in all 3 events! Although Caroline did not ski her best she helped the team and gave alot of team spirit! Great sportsmanship! Our other independent was Alex Laurentano who skied great and ended up 2nd Overall!
Check back as I will be putting up pics!
